A Spotless Sunrise…

Taking a spring-cleaning break to watch the sunrise in Wildwood, NJ March 2024
It’s officially spring! Don’t worry, the weather will eventually catch up with the calendar. Until it does, we’ve got work to do! Sadly, spring cleaning is not for the faint of heart. Emptying out closets, or any kind of housework-related project, truthfully, is something to be conquered (so that the dust and clutter don’t eventually conquer us☹). Neat freaks aside (no disrespect intended to the overly tidy among us), but is this really how we want to spend our seaside days? Wouldn’t we rather open all the windows (that also need a good cleaning), let that salty sea air in and let Mother Nature naturally purify our space? Can’t we just do that? Turns out, Mother Nature is focused on the outer elements and doesn’t really care about the cleanliness of the great indoors. We’re on our own there. Wisely, we know that once our spring days warm up, the beach and boardwalk will be calling, and we won’t have time for such chores.
Today, let’s make a fresh-as-a-seabreeze start! Let’s throw open those windows, let the sunshine in, sanitize our space and scrub our way into a sweet-smelling spring! Let’s dust away winter’s darkness and empty out those dreaded closets (and refrigerators), trusting that cleaning our homes will also clear out the metaphorical cobwebs in our minds (multitasking at its best).
Let’s reach toward a spotless spring, Windex those windows and kick all that grime to the curb so we can better enjoy the view.
(if only all that cleanliness would last as long as those spotless seaside sights)…
Happy Spring (Cleaning) 🧼🫧🧹
