Lining up for the Summer of 2025 (Wildwood, NJ 2025)
So, summer is weeks away (I know, many of us have already started the summer celebration) and we’ve got to get in Seaside Shape! Are we ready for those up-at-dawn (those sunrises are early!), walking-our-way-from-bay-to-beach-to-boardwalk days?
I’m exhausted just thinking about it!🥱
We need to be physically strong to surf the perfect wave, bike the length of the boardwalk and eat all those delicious boardwalk treats meant to fortify us (french fries as pizza toppings? Why not?)
So, how do we get there? 🤔
There’s Sunrise Beach Yoga, which isn’t as easy as it looks but makes for a gentle way to start the day, plus from there we can run (runners we now apparently will be) to the nearest coffee establishment for a croissant and a caffeine boost (hey, we’ve earned it!) All caffeinated, we’re now qualified to bike at least a portion of the boardwalk (as far as it takes to get to the closest breakfast place. Remember, we need our strength). Following a (maybe) protein and fruit-filled meal, we can continue on that journey to strength and stability. However, with a full stomach, we don’t want to overdo it. Skip the calisthenics! We don’t need to lift our body weight here…A long, slow stroll is a pace even the un-caffeinated among us can accomplish. Don’t forget to give those eyeballs a workout and admire that view!
