With so much to do this holiday season, it’s important to take a moment (spent, perhaps, with an ocean sunrise and a cozy caramel latte) to just BE. Let’s toss that To-Do list in the nearest beach bucket and spend some time just Being…

So, how do we just Be when we’ve got things to do? 🤔I mean, it’s the holidays! Obviously, we are BUSY! Sure, sunrises are nice, but what about that shopping list and have you seen the inside of my refrigerator? That could use a serious cleaning before it’s filled with seasonal groceries, which, hey, requires more shopping! Can we really designate time away from all of that to Be…what?

There’s so much we can Be!

We can be a Seaside Walker (who, following a beach stroll, may or may not walk straight to the local bakery for a sweet treat. Hey, we’ve earned it!) How about a Happy Porch Sitter, watching the world go by, sea breeze and sunshine making the best companions (while enjoying the aforementioned delicious delicacies), or a Blissful Binge Watcher (hello, Countdown to Christmas!), cozied up on the comfiest couch.

All appearances suggest we’re not really accomplishing anything but that’s kinda the point. Simple pleasures that require no skills can accomplish so much!

We can simply Be in the here and now, doing nothing at all (Type A people, take note.) Doing nothing (temporarily) actually makes us better doers (actual scientific facts.) Look no further than the yoga/meditators all over Instagram. They seem pretty Zen, don’t they, and they barely move! Their movements are gentle, they know they’re not getting far, at least not physically, yet wisely seem to understand how “far” they’ve truly gotten in their I’m-at-peace-with-the-world goal.

Who wouldn’t want to Be that?

At least for today, “doing” can wait when there’s a spectacular view to be watched, that hot caffeinated drink to be savored, and a cool sea breeze to be felt…😌🪷☮️
