Seaside Santa Joins Social Media

Searching for Seaside Santa…

The best place to await Santa’s arrival! (Wildwood, NJ December 2019)

News Bulletin:

Seaside-Loving Santa goes Social

Hello from the North Pole! Being a man set in my ways, I have resisted this AI (i.e.?), instant PM/DM-driven world we all seem to find ourselves occupying. Even in my frosty paradise, my reindeers, led by Rudolph, of course, are unloading, overloading (check proper terminology) pictures of our frozen tundra. I recently caught Blitzen and Frosty posing fireside! Ordinarily, you wouldn’t catch Frosty dead fireside but even he isn’t immune to the powers of that picturesque Instagram.

I’ve always been more the mysterious meet-and-greet type. I really am an introvert at heart! However, connecting to Christmas lovers across the miles from my comfy recliner sure is tempting! Also, as my ever-loyal elves and the Mrs. (who’s always been smarter and more technologically advanced than yours truly) keep reminding me, I can reach more people (pre-Xmas-eve, that is), with a little help from modern technology.

Since I’m all about sharing the spirit of the season, I thought I’d reach out to my seaside friends, having in recent years become a beach lover during the off season (boots and insulated overcoat a must).

I just love the sounds of the sea, the salty scents, the postcard-worthy scenery (we’ve got no ocean view at home!) and, most especially, the people. I don’t know what’s in the coastal air, but whenever I’m seaside, I feel like I’ve come home.

My favorite place to visit, even if it’s just a quick stopover, is the coastline. Magic, my middle name (he said humbly) overflows by the sea (no pun intended.) Even during your frosty season,  I discover kindred spirits, people content with a quiet walk in their sweet, sleepy town, that ocean view nearby and the peace that can  only be found in stillness (we’ve got a different kind of stillness at the North Pole outside of the workshop).

When the holidays find you rushing from party to party (Santa, too, has woken up with his share of milk and cookie hangovers), don’t forget to slow down, enjoy that view and appreciate the calmness the season also provides.

My wish to you is a holiday season and a new year filled with peace, prosperity and plenty of those magical seaside sights!

Happy Holidays! 🎅🤶🎁
