Winter’s Seaside Wonderland

A cold winter’s day turns into a beautiful, blustery night in Wildwood, NJ 2019
“Always be on the lookout for the presence of wonder.” ~ E.B. White
Are you among the many who fail to see the wonders of a seaside winter? What’s so wonderful about extended darkness and feeling frosty, you may wonder? Who wouldn’t rather be in the presence of prolonged sunshine and 70 degrees? Okay, winter is a darker, definitely colder season, but it has its high points, too, not immediately obvious to summer lovers.
Winter is a time for cozy moments, for comfort food and quiet reflection. The stars are brighter in the chilly skies, the sea air’s a bit fresher (seriously brisker), the pace is more peaceful, the sun is closer, and the beach is even more beautiful (sans crowds).
Binging by way of Netflix is more acceptable during these shorter sunlit days and dozing by the fireside is a perfectly respectable way to spend a long winter’s night. Cozy is the new cool!
However you spend these serene days and early sunset nights, may the sun and the stars take turns warmly lighting your way…🌞⭐
