Spotting a Seaside Sunrise…

A clean start to an April morning (Wildwood, NJ April 2025)
I dusted once. It came back. I’m not falling for that again… ~ Unknown anti-spring cleaner
Ready to dust off the dark winter and cleanse our way to sunshine and seaside happiness? Me neither, but I’m motivated by that lengthening daylight and warming temperatures. It’s time to get outside! Before we do, however, perhaps we can get that inside squeaky clean. Winter was long and all that binge watching required lots of sticky beverages and crumb-leaving snacks (mental note: check under sofa cushions).
Remember, spring cleaning is best done on rainy days. We’re stuck inside anyway! Put on some sunshiny tunes (suggestion: summer-loving Beach Boys. Retro always rules!) and tackle your most demanding task first (best to get the worst out of the way.) For some, it’s that I-just-knowing-it-contains-65%-expired-goods refrigerator. For others, it’s those closet. Try not to get too distracted by that 3rd grade spelling bee award you find jammed waaay at the back. Childhood mementos discovered decades later often result in lost time down memory lane. We’ve got work to do! Keep going, summer’s coming and we’ve got to remove the sand from 2025 before we can allow 2026’s beachy goodness indoors.
Once we’ve sanitized, scrubbed, and Hoovered our way to happiness (and cleanliness), we can enjoy (and see) all the beauty waiting outside those windexed windows.
Happy (Coastal Worthy) Cleaning!🧹🧽🫧
