Shaping Up @ the Beach…

It’s shaping up to be a beautiful late spring day! (Wildwood, NJ May 2026)
According to the calendar, summer doesn’t officially start for another three weeks. That’s plenty of time to get in summer shape, right? If you’ve been “couch potato-ing” it since we saw summer’s last light, fear not! There is hope for you!
Seaside, it’s easy peasy to shape up. No gym membership required. Dress lightly and comfortably, grab that water bottle and let’s go… gently. We must learn to beach walk before we can Boardwalk run, right? Isn’t that how the saying goes? 🤔
There’s no better place to get fit than along the picturesque coast, where our walking tour is sure to be pretty. Move those arms as well as those legs (careful not to smack passersby.) Following a well-paced beach walk, where that thick sand makes for a more challenging workout (good Lord), let’s head to the Boardwalk, where at least the ground is leveled and the scenery still sweet.
Be warned, there’s a lot of temptation waiting for us there! There’s pizza, soft pretzels, soda and so many sugary treats! We don’t want to undo all that good we’ve just done! We need to move quickly past these indulgences.
This is why I suggest we spend our Boardwalk time on the run. Of course, there’s bike riding, too. We’ll be pedaling past all those tasty temptations too quickly to truly see them!
If we just keep going, we’ll eventually find ourselves at the sunny Summer of 2026, fit, fabulous and ready for all that it promises to bring…🌞⛱️
